Kayla’s Kitchen emerged after the tragic passing of my youngest daughter Kayla. Kayla was a a beautiful spirit who loved helping her community (both people and animals). However, as wonderful as she was that didn’t prevent her from bring subjected to violence.
The loss of my daughter was a pain that impacted me deeply and inspired me to create a change so no other person would feel the same pain I felt,
Whenever a family member passes away an amazing thing happens…family and friends come together in an effort to provide comfort and support. At Kayla’s Kitchen we understand how valuable that support system is along the healing journey which is why we offer a safe space for individuals especially those that have lost a loved one to commune over a meal. We believe that food has the power to nourish not only our bodies but also our souls.
In addition to cooking, we are committed to supporting families who are struggling to meet their basic needs. Our aim is to alleviate the burden of food insecurity and help families regain stability and self-sufficiency.
